After "A Waltz for Terri" released in 2008, the pianist and composer returns to the recordings with "Nirvanix (JACC Records, 2010). If the core group remains almost unchanged (with Hugo Antunes only to be replaced by Demian Cabaud in the double bass), many of the themes gather guest stars (the case of João Paulo Esteves da Silva,
here on accordion) and the new reference in the vocal jazz Sara Serpa.
The compositional talent of Paula Sousa was already recognized, and her latest work comes to verify the quality of her writing.
Accompanying her are some of the most important musicians of the portuguese jazz community.
"Nirvanix é um jazz maduro que envereda por múltiplas direcções"
